What is the Istanbul Jazz Festival?

The Istanbul Jazz Festival is an annual summer festival organised by IKSV and sponsored by Garanti BBVA. Jazz is at the centre, with pop, soul, electronic and global music around it. The 2026 line-up included:

  • Robert Plant
  • Marcus Miller
  • Arooj Aftab
  • Thee Sacred Souls
  • Leading Turkish jazz musicians

When is the Istanbul Jazz Festival?

Every summer. The 33rd edition ran from 30 June to 13 July 2026. IKSV publishes each programme well in advance.

Where is the Istanbul Jazz Festival held?

At more than ten venues on both sides of Istanbul, including concert halls, historic buildings, open-air sites and parks. Two concerts on the same night can be an hour apart.

How to get to Istanbul Jazz Festival venues

  • Central venues around Beyoglu, Harbiye and Besiktas: take the M2 metro and walk.
  • Outlying and open-air venues: check transport in advance, especially the return after a late finish.
  • Several nights: compare venues as well as line-ups. Consecutive nights on opposite sides of the Bosphorus take more planning.

How much are Istanbul Jazz Festival tickets?

Tickets are sold per concert by IKSV, priced by show and venue. There is no festival pass or wristband. A headline act in a large hall costs more than a Turkish ensemble in a small venue.

IKSV usually runs early-booking periods, so buy when the programme is announced.
